Construction Site Operating Procedures – What are the latest updates?
The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has updated its Construction Site Operating Procedures to reflect recent changes in government guidance.
We’re now on the sixth version of the site operating procedures.
While there are no significant changes to the social distancing requirements on sites, the CLC has taken the opportunity to streamline the Site Operating Procedures while maintaining the familiar format.
Other changes within version six include:
• Updated guidance on shielding, self-isolation, testing and what to do if a worker develops COVID-19 symptoms or has to self-isolate
• Confirmation that canteens serving food must display a QR Code for NHS Test and Trace purposes
• The wording has been reviewed throughout to reflect the fact that social distancing is no longer exceptional, and that in some key areas government has published more detailed guidance or updated terminology.
With the current increase in COVID-19 cases across the UK, all construction companies are urged to remind their workforce of the importance of social distancing both in and out of work in order to protect themselves and others, and to keep the construction industry going.
