Team Aegis wins Myerscough College charity golf event
The Principal’s charity golf day at Myerscough College saw a team from Aegis take home the top prize – and raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in the process.
Dozens of golfers teed up for the event in May, which generated more than a thousand pounds for the charity.
Team Aegis, made up of Peter Gillett from Aegis, Robbie Hudson from BAE Systems (and son of Aegis Technical Director, Tim Hudson), and Steve Young and Sam Moore from Stonyhurst College, beat the opposition to defend last year’s title.
The day was overseen by Foundation Degree Golf Management students at Myerscough College.
Principal Ann Turner said: “’Well done to everybody on making the event such a big success.’’
‘’The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity very close to my heart, as my grandson suffers from the condition. They do so much fantastic work to fight this dreadful illness. The monies raised from last year’s Golf Day paid for valuable research and once again this year’s efforts are greatly appreciated by both myself and the charity.’’
‘’Once again we had a number of our close suppliers and partners take part in the event and I thank them for their help in raising so much for such a worthwhile cause.’’
Adam Kaley, Commercial Director at Aegis, added: “The charity golf day is always a great way for us to spend time with clients and colleagues outside of the working environment, and it was a pleasure to help support a charity which does such important work. Well done to our winning team who thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
