Aegis renews sponsorship of inclusive rugby club Typhoons RUFC
Aegis has renewed its sponsorship of Typhoons RUFC – Lancashire’s first gay and inclusive rugby union club.
Typhoons RUFC was set up in 2018 to provide an opportunity to play rugby for those who may have previously felt unable to do because of how they identify.
The club welcomes players of all abilities, shapes, sizes, sexualities and no previous experience of playing the game is necessary.
The club is hosted by Preston Grasshoppers and approached members of the Hoppers Business Network, which includes Aegis, for support. Aegis is one of a number of companies who sponsor the Typhoons.
Typhoons RUFC has grown since then and is planning to host the first IGR Northern League final in 2022, which will feature teams from across the North of England and Scotland.
Adam Kaley, commercial director at Aegis, comments: “We’re very pleased to be able to lend our support to the Typhoons once again. The club is going from strength to strength, offering more people the opportunity to experience the game and the friendships and camaraderie that come with it.”
