Aegis continues support of Preston Road Race

Aegis has continued its support of the Porsche Centre Preston 10-mile Road Race which took place recently in the city.

The annual race is a major event in the Preston Harriers athletics club calendar, and we were proud to again be one of several race sponsors for the second year running.

We have a longstanding association with Preston Harriers, which is one of the region’s oldest athletics clubs being founded in 1881 in Friargate.

The club’s athletes compete in a range of events, including track and field, fell running, road running, sportshall, cross country and triathlons.

The 10-mile Preston Road Race has been popular event for over 35 years and sees a field of several hundred runners competing on a two-lap route starting at Hutton Grammar School and finishing at Hutton Village Hall.  The flagship event once again incorporated the Northern Athletics, Lancashire AA and National Fire Service 10 Mile Road Championships.

This year, Preston Harriers also offered the option of a five-mile race.
