Crane Innovation at RAF Marham

On one of the projects that Aegis is working on, one of the sub-contractors is using a new crane innovation – the Liebherr 1050-3.1.

This crane is a mobile compact crane with a cab that can be extended to eye-level with the lifting/un-loading point.  This reduces the need to `blind-lift’ any item, so improves the safety of the operation.  The cab can be raised up to 7.8 metres high.  When not lifting, the operational cab can be positioned back via the telescopic arm to the front of the crane to offer better visibility when driving.
