Aegis retains ISO accreditation

Aegis has retained its International Standards Organisation (ISO) 9001 accreditation following an external two day audit by assessors from ISOQAR Alcumus – an independent inspection organisation – in November. This assessment was against the latest version of the standard – that from 2015 – which is different from the previous 2008 version. The latest version of the standard requires companies to consider the wider context and have a risk-based approach to management.

At the same time Aegis were assessed against the requirement of two additional standards: ISO 14001 – environmental management and OHSAS – health and safety management. Having ISO 14001 demonstrates that Aegis has an effective environmental management system which allows the company to assess its environmental impact and hence work to improve it. OHSAS 18001 is a framework for an occupational health and safety management system which means that Aegis will be able to put in place the best possible workplace health and safety arrangements.

As Alcumus ISOQAR is accredited by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS), Aegis is now allowed to display the UKAS ‘Crown and Tick’ logo on our marketing material.

Adam Kaley, Commercial Director, commented:

“Gaining what is, in effect, three new accreditations as a company reflects a great deal of time and effort over the past year by all staff here.  It shows that we’re always looking for ways to improve our services and how we go about our business.  With these standards clients can have confidence that we’re delivering work which is consistent and of the highest quality”.
