Aegis Leaps To Help Local Athletics Club

Preston firm Aegis is continuing its support for local sports clubs by buying a pole vault pole for Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Athletics Club (BWFAC).

Early in the season one of the club’s pole vault poles snapped, leaving the athletes short of one the range of poles it needed for competitions.

Knowing of Aegis’ willingness to support local sports clubs, particularly those encouraging participation by children and young people, BWFAC contacted the company, requesting help.

Adam Kaley, the firm’s commercial director, picks up the story: “We knew Blackpool’s young athletes needed our help and we were delighted to come to the rescue by sponsoring a new 12’6” pole vault pole.

“Since then we’ve heard that the new pole has been used by BWFAC’s athletes at events across the region.”
