New Appointment Spearheads Expansion at Aegis

Preston-based construction safety firm Aegis has appointed Peter Gregory as a health and safety consultant to spearhead its expansion into specialised areas of health and safety risk management.

Aegis, which employs one of the North’s largest teams of independent Construction Design and Management (CDM) Co-ordinators and is well-known nationally in that field, has also been growing its health and safety compliance services in recent years.

Company bosses believe that Gregory’s appointment will not only support and enhance Aegis’ existing offering but will also allow clients to access new specialist services, enabling the firm to capitalise on the associated new business opportunities.

With nearly twenty years’ experience and formerly of Rentokil plc, Protimeter plc and Castle Group Acoustics, Gregory’s specialist health and safety expertise covers workplace noise, hand arm vibration and legionella risk assessments.

Speaking of his appointment, he said: “I’m thrilled with my new position at Aegis and it is great to join the company at the brink of expansion. I am looking forward to the challenges of this exciting period of growth.”

Commenting, Adam Kaley, the firm’s commercial director, said: “We are pleased to welcome Peter to the team. In addition to his wealth of technical knowledge, he brings with him a real understanding of customer needs which will fit in well with our customer focused approach.”
