On construction projects Site Safety Inspections will assist in demonstrating that organisations are complying with their legal duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations in any of the Client, Principal Contractor and Contractor roles. Inspections, conducted at either key events or at random over a period of time, will identify non-conformances and check if specific tasks are covered by Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Since October 2012 the HSE has been operating a Fee for Intervention (FFI) cost recovery scheme. The HSE has been charging businesses and organisations £124 an hour for the time they spend identifying and resolving material breaches in health and safety laws.
Businesses and organisations can avoid these costly HSE fees by adopting a proactive approach to health and safety matters. Site safety inspections are a cost effective way of identifying and resolving health and safety issues and diminishing the likelihood of breaches of health and safety laws being identified by HSE Inspectors.
Aegis has staff competent to conduct Site Safety Inspections complete with written reports for Clients.
