Aegis was appointed to the CDM Co-ordinator role for the construction of the Reception Building at BAE
Systems, Samlesbury, which was opened in March 2009. The new reception has a striking design alluding to
the dynamic form of a fighter jet. It is a signature building for the Samlesbury site, featuring a floor to ceiling
glazed curtain wall on one side of the building to capture natural daylight.

The project also included a traffic light controlled T junction on the A59 to improve road safety on access to
the site, visitor car parking and a new-era 'quiet' wind turbine.
